Welcome to Bennett
Bennett Skyline

This growing, high plains community lies in eastern Adams and Arapahoe Counties. Bennett residents enjoy the pleasures of small town western living, clean air, quiet times and friendly neighbors. While retaining these attributes, the residents can also enjoy the urban highlights of Denver only 25 miles from Bennett and the alpine recreation of the great Rocky Mountains only an hour’s drive away. Bennett is committed to responsible planned development, economic vitality, a program for public service improvements, and continued park expansions, as well as improving the quality of life for its residents.

On June 27, 2006 the Board of Trustee adopted the following Vision Statement:

The Town Board of Trustees will proactively manage community needs to develop the Town of Bennett into one of the premier "rural town centers" of Colorado providing optimum levels of service to our citizens.

NEWS RELEASE - NOVEMBER 7, 2006

Volunteers Needed for Citizen Advisory Boards

Town of Bennett residents are invited to help shape the future of our community through direct participation in Town government.  One of the most effective methods of citizen involvement is to serve on one of the Town's Citizen Advisory Boards.  This is an opportunity to help make Bennett a great place to live, work and raise a family.  The Town, in turn, benefits from your knowledge, advice and experience.

Citizen Advisory Boards include the Board of Adjustment.   Residents interested in serving on the Board of Adjustment should contact Town Hall for an application.

Board of Adjustment consists of seven (7) members who are residents of the Town.  The Board of Adjustment hears appeals regarding administrative decisions related to the Town's Land Use and Development Ordinances and Regulations, and may consider requests for variances.  The Board conducts meetings as necessary, and consists of seven (7) members appointed for a three-year term.  There will be three (3) upcoming vacancies consisting of a three-year term.
